Hi guys.
Im looking into buying a ls1.

Here is a link to the car and what
the car needs and stuff.
Is it worth putting money into
and how long would it take to rebuild this engine
and fix stuff like this?

Thanks for any info guys!!!

With body damage, worn interior, and a 140k on a motor leaking oil I'd say you have some serious bargaining power. I would bring up all these things plus the KBB and knock down their asking price a by fair amount. This is just me but if they wouldn't take around $4500 I would pass on it. If a shop would be doing the repairs a conservative estimate would be $2500 for paint and body, and then if you have the engine rebuilt you can add a good bit more to that. There are much better deals out there, you've just got to be patient and make sure you get something you'll be happy with.

Spend a little more money and get one in better shape....sounds like that one has not been taken care of and you don't want to buy a money pit.

I would def. pass on that. Keep your eyes peeled and hound the classifieds both here and locally. Unless you are dead set on an SS you should be able to find an awesome deal. But keep in mind the price of that car in the ad and how much money you would take to repair it, then use that dollar amount to find one in better shape.

pass. you'd end up saving money by buying one in good condition for $7kish. if its JUST an oil leak thats an easy fix, why not spend the small amount to fix it?
