im not sure I understand what your asking but, remove the outer rubber boot and you'll be able to see where the stick is bolted to the shifter. hope it helps

no. i'll put up some pics. i think they sent me the wrong stick. its not a short shifter its just a stick. i took the boot off and the stock stick. then i went to put the new one in and the flat side is cut at an angle. so if i bolt it on one side i cant shift into reverse or 6th without hitting the sides of the center consul. but if i bolt it to the other side same thing but with 1st and 2nd. like i said i'll put up some pics and maybe that will explain it better.

Camaro/Firebird T-56 (6 speed) Short Stick for 6 speed shifters that have a removable stick, Most Hurst, SLP and Pro 5.0's, designed for better and quickershifting (results vary with driver), shipping is not included.

thats the quote from the site. stock shifter is hurst right?

wrong.

hurst shifters are not stock unless you have some versions of the ws6 or the SS

Well, that explains why it's doing it on my car. I thought I messed up somewhere when I bolted my console up again

Oh well, Guess it's time for a custom console.

you dont want an aftermarket shifter? have you considered just cutting down the stock stick? im not sure what yourr new stick looks like but maybe if you put a bend in it it will clear everything?

I'm pretty sure the stock stick is removable. It should work fine.
