Default ORY w/o headers......

I've looked around and I've seen people say you can get them, but I cant really find any..... Would it even be worthwhile? It seems that the stock one would be extremely restrictive?

have you seen the mod guide sticky, very good info in there:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...e-posting.html

To answer your question, no it's really not worthwhile. Here's a quote from the guide:
Do Not invest in a new Y pipe unless you plan to stick with shorties/stock manifolds, and even at that it’s barely worth it since you'll gain practically nothing by a new Y on stock manifolds. If you buy a new Y for stock manifolds/shorties you'll need to replace the Y you just bought if you add LT's or mids in the future.

I got my Bassani ORY about 7 years ago before cheap LT's were available. Bolted up in about 1.5 hours, and buddy with longtubes and similiar bolt-ons only dynoed 10 more HP than me. I dynoed 340hp and 352tq with cutout opened. I plan on getting LT when I find the right cam.

lol, i can almost guarantee i read that like 2 years ago... I'm aware that the y pipe wouldn't work w/ longtubes but i was trying to keep the car quiet, I'm considering a stealth 2 cam and would like to keep it hidden by a quiet exhaust and figured a ORY only would be my best bet while still freeing up power....

if your even condsidering getting headers down the road don't bother. but if your sure your gonna stay with stock manifolds i would do it. it should free up some power.

Lotta guys do that with California cars. Not the best breathing setup true, but the stock Y and cats are super restrictive.
