Default S10 vs 3000gt vr4 Twin Turbo

Well This was about a year ago before i lost compression and was pushing near 400Horsepower still haha.

It was like 6:00pm and The CDA rod run was just ending, and i had just put my new carb on and tuned it, and i was feeling good to say the least and i figure Car show = Cars ( well duh but Imports to eat is what i'm saying)
So haha i pull a cop move and sit off the side of he road with my buddy in the passenger seat looking for cars, I saw one about a mile down, wasnt sure but i was going to kill it no matter was, as it got closer i could tell it was either a stealth or 3000gt vr4 or what ever. so i pull out on to the two lane road and leave it in second doing about 25-30 so about 3500rpm (perfect launch and normally no tire spin since it was hot and my rubber was sticky)
so he slows down a little and i look over at him a give him the nod, and jumped on him with a good stab and then slow back down and then he does the same but he shifted and you could hear the blow off, (made me excited) haha then he slowed down and honked twice then a third time and i gunned it, right off the bat he fell two cars down and then i hit third and he was about 3 1/2 cars behind. i finished up third gear, near 110mph with my 700r4 and 4.11s and then i slowed down he was a good 4-5 cars behind, but once i slowed down he flew by me with his middle finger high in the sky...
What a poor sport.

Thats my kill Not sure of his mods, from just he noise of the twins and the duals fart cans.

And I didnt do it from a dig because i have T/a radials and ****, i'll spin them through second and that is when i lanuch from 2000 rpms.

vr4 is faster than a lt1 stock. and your calling it a pig?

there mid /low 13 cars if the clutch, tranny is still good and the drivers are willing to launch hard. been done quite a few times. there no slouches. just expensive to maintain

i think the last year they made them was 9 and they had 320 hp and 315tq. they were very very heavy cause they had so many damn options. active aero, active exhaust, all wheel drive, all wheel steering, twin turbos and intercoolers. very high tech car back in the day. way ahead of its time

Nice kill.

Finding a 3000GT that runs is like finding an LT1 with an original OptiSpark, not all too common.

Most people just junk 3000GT's when they break (which is all the time) because finding the problem and fixing it often costs more than the car is worth.

I agree, they are very heavy with all wheel drive. You never find anybody that leaves from a dead stop hard with one of those. 1 time and its carnage city.

If they would have called it GTO in the US they would have been burned on dealer lots.

Talk about discracing a name, people would have been disgusted.

Correct.

Both Mitsubishi and Pontiac ripped off the GTO name from Ferrari.

Ferrari came first, then Pontiac, and then SOON after: Mitsubishi....

SOON??? Well, Mitsubishi's first use of the title GTO was in 1970 with their Mitsubishi Galant GTO.
It was basically a not so pretty rip off of American muscle cars: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubishi_Galant_GTO

Sue me for saying so, but one of those 125hp 5spd Galant GTOs might be kinda fun to throw around some corners. 2200lbs ain't much.
