faint tick after oil change?
k guys i purchased my car about 3 months ago and the previous owner had the oil changed at his local lube place with dino 10w 30. so it was time to change oil so i changed it with mobil 1 high mileage 10w 30 and as soon as i got done and fired it up let i run for a few minutes then i noticed a faint ticking that wasnt there before? but its only in between 1000 and 1800 rpm's it has the sewing machine sound? so i did some searching on here for oil and decided mobil wansnt the best oil for my car i have 91k by the way, so i changed it to a 5w 40 today hoping that that would cure the issue, so when i got it changed and started it up same damn thing! it seems to be just a tiny bit quieter but still there. so just wondering if anybody has any input on my issue here? it kind of gets a tiny bit better after it warms up but still doesnt go away. oh and it is really noticable when it is on the downside of the rpm drop. it is definetly coming from the passenger side in the rear.
my oil pressure is about 45psi at idle and about 55- 60 psi at cruising speed.
thanks in advance guys!

The ticking is not uncommon in the LS1, and isn't causing any damage.
5w-30 is what GM recommends for the LS1. Additives are not recommended, as they are usually just thickeners. Those that don't thicken are usually snake oil.

A long time ago I went from a CB1100F to an '85 Electraglide. The noises were completely different. I thought the Harley was going to fly apart right underneath me!
But it didn't.
You just have to understand what the noises are an get used to each set.
