Just replaced mine to see if it would help with my slight idle problem. The old one had no tension in it where the shaft mounts but the new one did. your can turn the new one and it returns to its original position where the old one didn't. Could this be part of the problem I had? Car runs fine but have not driven it yet on road. Thanks

i think your old one was fine and i also doubt the TPS would affect your idle.
