Hi guys and gals:

I found a 2002 SS convertible one owner car with 6,300 miles on it. Silver, black top, black leather interior 12 cd changer V8 (I assume LS-1 correct?) 4wheel discs, ABS all around, automatic. I have only seen it at night so far but it looks pretty sweet :thumb:

Being a first gen guy I do not know what the car is worth. Any guesses? They are asking $22,995 and I am guessing I can get them down from there. I will check Kelly Blue Book too.

Also, what can I do to moderatly increase performance to say 350-400 RWHP and how much will it cost? Will the tranny and rear end hold it and what other things should I be concerned with if I do this? Is it worth leaving this car stock to hold the value for the future?

Thanks

Mark

You might get them down to $20,000, but I wouldn't expect to get it for much less. H/C package would get you close to your 350-400 hp goal. Unless you are willing to hold on to the car for the next 30-40 years and not drive it, it really isn't worth it to leave it stock.

Is it a M6 or A4.I would offer them $20,000.Long tube headers, off road y pipe, cat back and the rest of the bolt on's will get you around 360rwhp and w/ a cam close to 400 rwhp.

Are you buying this from a dealer? If so, I would offer less than $20k....most dealers are not selling any cars in this market.

I wouldnt spend that much on it unless it was an anniversary edition, it may be low miles but that just means that it sat alot, might look at the bottom for bad service rust. Cam/Heads, headers, air box, and a good tune would get it to 400hp but would cost you around $3k though. A stock rear end will take the abuse for awhile before it breaks. And the trans will take it no problem.
