Default curiousity question..............

How hot is the air coming out of a regular FMIC on an F-Body and then going into the intake.

Temp entering the intake?

Say a 98mm single turbo set up on something like a 408ci.

I know theres probably a million things that can change it, but just an approximate average temp. on a daily driver type set up.

do you mean under boost or just driving around? just driving around mine are 2-3 pver ambient on the highway. Under boost on a track you will prolly end up 70 over ambient with a decent amount of boost and avg a/a i/c. Add another 10-20 degrees to that for burnout etc while get ready to stage

Cool. Wow, just a few degrees over outside air temp.

Ok, whats the coolest you would want that air to be if you had the choice? Meaning, is there a point where it will be too cool?

I would guess extremely cold would be best...........

the colder the air the better, but the cooler it gets the more dense it gets which might mean a lil more boost.

cablebandit hit it on the head. Mine is around 2-10 over ambient driving around and 45-55 over ambient on boost at the end of 4th gear.
