Negative Trader Feedback - Am I screwed??

I traded my BBK intake for an LS6 intake from a member on here. I shipped mine first because he had 24 positive feedbacks to my 9. When I got the intake from him I just opened the box to make sure it was in there and never inspected it. Well I went to put it on my car today and it's broken. To top it off I've deleted our pm's, I can't find his for sale thread that he put up looking to trade. Only thing I have is his name and address. Am I shit up a creek on this deal?

Considering I did the same as you (didn't inspect upon receipt) I was screwed even though I had all PMs and everything (and even though some others here agreed that he should refund me anyway but he didn't) so I imagine you are too... how long ago was this? Do you remember his username? Doesn't hurt to contact him at least... maybe he'll be nicer about it than the guy I dealt with was.

That's the problem is that I deleted the PM's since my box was so full and thought all was good. I don't have his SN and have been searching for the last hour for his for sale thread and it's no longer here. I got the intake about a week ago.

Sorry to hear about your situation too SparkyJJO. What the hell is wrong with people?!?! This is the 2nd time in a year I've been screwed over by a member. Love how these people prey on fellow car lovers. Hope Karma hits them with a bus!!!

Good news I found the SN, but still don't have the PM's. Will keep you guys posted.

What is broken on it? Post some pictures to help.

Maybe it is something that could just be fixed with some epoxy? or is it totally FUBAR?

Well it looks like shipping damage. Was it insured? I mean it would be odd to put the broken pieces in if you tried to rip someone off.
