Default !EGR=blinking SES light?

Hey... My SES light has been blinking lately.

No loss in power, or anything funky.

Went and had it scanned and only 2 EGR codes came up...

Are they causes my SES light to blink?

Usually a blinking SES means that the car is misfiring.

it wont. a blinking SES light is a "catalyst-damaging" misfire and doesnt set any codes.

i know when EGR is actuated the fuel trim does change to compensate for the burnt exhaust gas but i would assume the PCM sees the EGR circuit malfunction and wont change the fuel trim in your case. well maybe it is and thats whats causing an occational misfire.

If the EGR is gone and your throwing codes for it maybe it blinks whenever the PCM demands EGR function. When does it blink, any certain time?

You mean the blinking? Or the SES light coming on due to the EGR being removed. You can go into a density misfire without an EGR as well on a stock tune.

i mean the blinking SES light. it doesnt flash whenever a code sets only during a severe misfire.

How would I fix that?

And just recently the car started to run rough... I ordered some plug wires because i think these are actually the originals still on the car. (Delphi)

why are you so convinced its a lean misfire? i doubt the injectors would clog and i a pump wont be "weak". if it is lean its likely just the fuel filter.

Um Yea a fuel pump can become weak!! I know it happened to my 98 z28, I own a shop here in tn and get alot of cars in with weak pumps. Pumps do go weak. As for the it being lean didnt I say Fuel filter? Hope you figure it out man.
