Default FI cam question

I know the zo6 cam is a proven FI cam, don't think you can beat it as far as a budget build goes. Question being, are turbo specific grinds from sponsors on here worth the $? More power at lower boost? Faster boost? IDK. Looking for 550-575 at the wheels. No more than 10-12psi. Thanks.

10-12 PSI could be a lot depending on your set up man.

All forged if that's what you mean. Is it worth the extra cash for a "turbo" cam of similar specs of a z06 cam? Does power come on sooner at lower boost with an aftermarket cam? Or just boost earlier? Or more efficient in upper rpm's?

If you want to take full advantage of your turbo set-up, a properly spec'd out turbo cam will yield more power through the curve than a generic LS6 cam. LS6 do work great under boost for many set-ups, but more power can be had from turbo cams. Check out the EPP forced induction cam, it is a great turbo or supercharger cam and will make more power than an LS6. I'll be using this cam on my LQ4. If it's your daily, go LS6, if you want more, go custom turbo spec'd.

Not a dd. I'll check out EPP. I've heard and read a lot about them. Thanks for your time.

A properly spec'ed out cam is worth the money no question about it. You are talking a couple hundred dollars different. If you are going to go through the effort of swapping cams, do it right.
