Gonna try something new this year-a Vortech YSi!
Last season I swapped over all the Procharger F series Blowers to 10 ribs with great success. So this year I figured lets try it with something new? So I've been wanting to try a YSi for a long time to see if it lives up to the hype.
Well with what I want out of the blower and the way I intend to push it, 8 ribs wasn't gonna cut it. So first thing I did is take off the plastic pulley's and factory tensioner and slapped on the HD truck tensioner I have been using on my Procharger brackets. I replaced the plastic pulley with a lightweight aluminum hard anodized double bearing pulley.
You can see in the pics the difference from 8 to 10 rib:thumbs:
Looks like the YSi falls inbetween a F1C and F1R-should be interesting
The exducer is 5.75"
The F1R still looks to be the "all out blower"I'm going to go straight to a 2.8" blower pulley to see what I can get out of it. I'll keep everyone posted!

Good luck...how much is a tensioner like that ?
I'd like to go auto if possible to replace my manual tensioner. But I dont really have access to any to look at etc.

Well, a F1C won't be too far away if it doesn't perform to expectation. Main reason was I got a deal on this too sweet to pass up. The Mustang Renagade cars use this blower exclusively so it really peaked my interest-if they can run low 8's with a 8 rib and 310 cubes @ 3400 lbs, there must be something to this blower.
