Default What's the purpose of this piece?

Hey guys, I'm thinking of doing something (secret ) and I was wondering what the purpose of this piece was.. Is it important for it to be there?

If anyone could shed some light on it, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks everyone!

It's of no importance. Destroy it, and do your super secretness.

No really, it's the front bumper cover support.

Default Workaround

GM has not really been known for putting non-needed parts on, but that is not to say you cannot fabricate something that will hang the bumper but will also accommodate your 'idea.'
