Default What Belts With ASP Pulley

Gonna be installing the crank and alternator pulley. yes ive searched and havnt seen anyone post an actual part # they've used. I got the paper with the pulley and it lists 3 seperate part #'s for the acc belt.

This is how its listed:

#948500 Gates Belt K060760
#948520 Gates Belt K060755
#948584 Gates Belt K060770

Then for the A/C Belts its listed as:
A/C Belt K040378

Which is the proper belt!!????

Thanks!!

Why do you want to install the Alt pulley? Unless you're running a HUGE stereo or some other kind of major power drain, it's not necessary. I've been running ASP pulleys on cars for YEARS without the overdrive alt pulley and no problems. Save yourself the trouble and don't use it unless you need to.

Without the alt pulley, the correct belts are 760K6 and 378K4. With the alt pulley it's probably gonna be the 770. A/C belt won't change regardless.

If you are using the overdrive (small) alt pulley its the 755. If its the underdrive alt (big) pulley its the 770.

FWIW, I used the 760 belt (76" belt) with my stock alt. pulley and had a problem with the belt walking. I was spinning to about 6700 RPMs though. I would check under the hood every time I got back home from a weekend cruise and it would be off by 1 or 2 ribs. Eventually I threw it totally off on a expressway on ramp going WOT. I went down to a 755 (75.5" belt) with the stock alt pulley and stock tensioner and haven't had any issues. I do plan to upgrade to a Katech Adjustable Tensioner as the shorter belt was just a short term (--> cheap) fix. I would recommend the 755 if you stick with the stock alt. pulley and tensioner.
