4400 minimum..

and start saving for the transmission. the 4L60e doesn't care for high rpms and you'll be spinning that cam to 6800.

depends on what you mean by daily driver.... if you drag race it on the weekends or want best stoplight performance, then its 4000+ if you are a sucker for twisty roads and canyon carving then i would say 2800...

but then again real simple questions yield real simple answers....

thats a pretty nasty cam for a DD auto.

why are you so set on it?

smaller cam will be easier to drive, make similar power peak, and probably more power down low.

key west is not a fun placed to drive a touchy cam....ask me how i know.

i wouldn't daily drive with that cam, i have the ms3 and i wouldn't want to daily drive with that cam. you could probably deal with it for a while but i'm sure it will get old really quick. just my .02, as for the stall i wouldn't get anything less then a 4000.

Well to much cam imo for daily driver, but I would use a min. of a3600+stall along with a 3:73 gears.

I would get a yank ss4000 for that cam in a car that is drivin alot. That converter is street friendly and will work very well with that cam. Also doesn't texas speed recommend replaceing valve springs like every 10k miles with the ms4? just something you might want to think about, expecially in a DD.

Texas Speed used to have a guideline along with its cam choices saying what is necessary in the driveline. If I remember correct, they recommended nothing below 3600for the MS3 and gears. For manuals they said nothing less than 4.10 gears out back. And as for other cams having a 'similar power peak'...yes similar, but similar can be as much as 40 hp lower without breaking a sweat. The Magic Stick series cams are just ridiculous as far as hp gains on stock motors. Know a buddy who has one, and they aren't b.s.ing on the power gain numbers.

Yank SS4000/PT4000-4400 or Circle D 4C

I just bought this cam from my buddy. I'm not sure this is the right choice for a DD which worries me
