a friend of mine had a problem similar to that a while ago and believe it or not was something as simple as the fuel filter was horribly clogged and the line where it was connected was crimped, so look there

I just went through Crank sensor problems. It started as a backfire under WOT. It led to me driving between 10-15 minutes before the car would start to sputter, throw SES codes & then die. It would throw 2 codes: P0335 & P0336. It would take about 30 minutes before it would start again.
