Question Inspection pretty soon

I have a 2002 Camaro SS SLP#5878 and it has LT headers with no cats.I have sims but the driver side went bad and I also had the air pump removed and my SES light is on.It says its my one bad sim and my air pump, but I already know that was why my SES light was on.My problem is I need to get it inspected and I heard that in North Carolina I can only have one thing that is bad and still pass is that true.Because if it is I just need to order that sim and then just my air pump will be setting the ses light right?

You need to go to a tuner and get it all deleted off your computer. I went to R.P.M. in Garner, NC and passed inspection 2 weeks later. I just moved to Las Vegas from North Carolina and I passed Nevada SMOG. We shall see if I can pass next year when my QTP Race style's, ORY are installed and I am also going to delete my air. Im going to have fun trying to find someone to pass me.

Well see I have the race style headers too thats why the air pump had to be removed. They dont have no air connection or nothing. Will it still pass if I was to get the air pump and the sims erased off the computer?

As long as you don't have an SES light and you go to the right place it will pass. Some places will actually do a visual, but I found a spot that only hooks it up to the computer and makes sure the headlights work in Raleigh, so with the tuning you'll be good to go.

See I would go but I'm pretty sure I have to drop the car off and leave it there, this is the only car I have to get to work.Is there a fuse just for the SES light?Maybe I could just take it off and go see if it passes?

they will probably do a bulb check and see if the light comes on when you turn the key on.

if you have the light blocked visually or the bulb gouged out it will still fail. That light is just a friendly reminder that something is awry already. They will find it when the plug in and scan.

you have to get it deleted by a tuner in order for it to go away, if you dont it will come up when they scan it even though the light doesnt come on. just get a mail order tune or something where they can delete all those.
