Default LH6, what parts must be replaced?

Planning to use a LH6 5.3 w/T56 in a '70 Camaro, the motor was practically new when taken from the donor 2007 SUV.
Stock alu short block and #799 heads, GMPP ignition control and carb intake with demon 750, headers.
Crane cams recommends #1446901 (228/232 – .600/.600 – 112ls), long travel lifters #10535 and springs #99831 + retainers&locks.
The dod lifters obviously can't be used but would it be possible to use the remaining 8 stock lifters + 8 new ones?
Better choice with GM Racing hydraulic lifters #88958689 or LS7 #12499225?
At Summit racing, crane $540, GM $320 and $122.
Kind of big price difference, are they worth the extra $$?

Max lift for the stock springs? Max diam spring for the pockets?
Feels wrong just to replace the almost new springs and lifters, but if there's no other way …

What's the flow numbers for #799 5.3 heads?
Can I use a thinner head gaskets with a correct lifter preload – intake port alignment etc? How much cr gain is possible with just a gasket swap?

Any info or advice about this build is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance/

Default

Replace the DOD lifters (8), the AFM valley cover, and the oil pump is a high flow unit as well.

The 799= same as 243!

Default Oil pump

I'd keep that oil pump if you could. Too much oil is better than not enough, though you have to watch oil capacity....
