need write up on removing gears !!ASAP...Tahoe!!

need write up on removing gears !!ASAP...Tahoe!! My cousin has a 00 Tahoe and just blew his gears out...his diff fluid is all black and sludgy.....in other words gone!!!...I need a quick write-up on removing gears ....he has already removed the Yolk,driveshaft and cover of course....what next???Thanx!!

2.Take off the brakes
3. Take out the small 5/16 headed bolt in the carrier
4. pull out the big pin
5. push axles in and remove c-clips
6. pull axels out un do bearing caps (making sure not to mix them up side to side)
7. yank out carrier
8. drive out pinion with a punch.
Ive never done a 00 tahoe before thats how ya do most gm rears
