Default GMPP people I need some help

Is the "new" transmission controller p# 19212657
different from the old one p#12497316

I.e. has it been revised?

i know they were repackaged tci units, and tci did come out with a newer one, easier to program-i didnt find anything under #19212657, i'll have to call my parts guy and see what he has listed

19212657 is in the 2009 GMPP catalogue and is listed as "new"

if you have a pic of it, go to tci's website, see if it matches their updated model-they have a pic of their old and new, i think their new has a cd where the old used a floppy

in the 09 catalogue it says it comes with a "connector" for lap top computer.
Nothing mentioned about CD or Floppy.

also whos tci?

TCI buy their new controller from PCS. GMPP is still using the old TCI Style

i called my buddy at the dealer, he can find some stuff others cant sometimes-the # didnt come up good-sometimes when they print those books, the stuff isnt released yet, like the older perf book that had the ls vette front drive kit, that you had to buy piece by piece
why not just go to TCI's website, buy the newer setup, cheaper than from the general anyway

The new number is the similar to the TCI controller just not available yet. TCI buys their controllers from PCS with simplified software.
