Default Cam selection: 408/F1-C

Let's talk about Cam selection:

2002 Corvette Coupe, A4.

9:5:1 compression 408c.i.
LS6 intake
245cc TFS heads (70cc comb. chamber)
F1-C
LG Pro longtubes w/cats and borla stingers
3200 converter
3.42s.

The car is a full weight street car. An honest real street driven, pump gas car that will only see 6500-6800 rpms a handful of times. I'm going to set the limiter at 6800. I'd like decent street manners but I do like a rowdy cam that will pull and hold to 6800+.

I understand that my intake and longtubes are a bit restrictive for this set-up but the longblock is getting re-used when my Camaro is ready and the Vette will go back to an N/A 346.

It won't need as BIG as you would think or what most people will/would say. Something in the 23X/24X .585/.600 115 range should work pretty darn well imo. I have seen even smaller profile cams work to.

I didn't think huge would be the ticket either. My headers are going to be a bit restrictive. I think a cam like you suggested, well..it's pretty dead nuts with the EPP blower cam. I'd still like further discussion on it though. Any other opinions?
