Auto-lights was standard on the Canadian Firebirds.

It should work the same way as on a Camaro.

Here is how to disable it on the Camaro:

instead of a scotchlock, i cutoff the ambient light sensor and spliced the 2 wires together. same principle. also can cut the red-orange wire behind the dimmer switch

Ha Ha..I tried to do that..And lost a couple of bolts..Now in order to turn on the headlights i have to pop the hood first or the cover scrapes the top of the hood and the headlights dont go all the way up..Its very Ghetto..I gotta get some bolts to align it right, but for now its a funny thing when i hang out with other F-Bodies..Or they talk about my removed nostril seperator..Either or

IT was an option here in Canada Lemons. I'm trying to disable mine as we speak, that's how I came across this site.

What did you mean by this "cutoff the ambient light sensor"? Just snipped both wires of and wired the two together? You didn't touch the alarm indicator one though I guess though right? The one located right next to the light sensor?
