Default Centri Superchargers... max psi?

i know that most of you guys run low boost 5-8psi on your engines. i noticed on the ATI website that the p1sc1 can push 32psi max. i know i can just go turbo and push that much easy. anybody ever taken any centri to about 28psi? or that even possible. let me know whats up. thanks

A p1sc will never produce 32psi on a LSx.......I am sure you could get a F-2 and make 25+ psi

#'s of boost is just a measurement of restriction. One engine might make 500hp on 8#'s of boost and some might make 500hp at 15# of boost. It all in the set up. PSI doesn't mean any thing.

I guess so....if I am seeing 16psi with a d1sc......then I guess you could see 30psi on a motor that is half the size of mine

28 PSI is MEANINGLESS. The volume of air it moves is important. I can cap the outlet and prolly make 30 psi inside of the blower, but that is a useless value.

I think the only people on this site that are familiar with Rotrex is Kurt from W2W (no longer in business) and I. And that's only because I happen to own a truck they installed one on. 30psi out of a p1sc? on your car, maybe..but I doubt it.

I got 14psi from my P1SC on my 346 with stock truck heads. That was spinning the P1SC to like 98% of its max RPM. You wont ever see 30psi on a V8 from a P1SC. It may make that much boost on a 4 banger tho. As has already been mentioned here, the boost# by itself is useless. It will depend on the engine combination such as cam, compression, and the biggest factor would be displacement. Had I been running the exact same pulleys on my P1SC on a 427 it would have made wayyyy less than 14psi. Its all relative.
