Question Does this work?

Guys On the weekend i raced my Friend on his mustang and he took out a 2 litter soda and spills it on the street and then does a burn out on it.. I never seen anyone do that so I asked him why he did that and he told me that his friend told him that it helps the car grip and makes the tires sticky so I asked him if it worked and he said " I dont know 1st time I try it" so what do you guys think does it ? But yeah i won he has a 2002 mustang Gt with a few mods ...

Never heard of that. Oh I'm sure it makes the tire all sticky... not in a good way.

the only way it would work is if you put it down and let it dry then that spot will be sticky as hell. doing a burnout in it is just going to make a mess.

I've heard of people putting down dr. pepper before, its the poor mans VHT.
Im thinking your supposed to let it dry on the ground at a preselected race spot rather then smoke the tires in it and making a mess but who knows. lol

You guys that are laughing should know what you're talking about first. We have used faygo red pop and dr pepper a few times when VHT was not at hand. Triggers car would leave wheels up on a small drag radial with it.

A few people in this thread talk about using it.

What does your suspension consist of? Pinion angle? Your doing something wrong if we can leave wheels up on the street, on these little 255 DRs!!
