just put on eagle F1 a/s tires..these things are tenfold of what comes on the car stock in the aspect of handling, wet, dry, and snow traction..i highly recommend these tires if you are looking for new ones and can afford them

the only thing they arent good on are unplowed roads.
Goodyear is actually admitting they have are having wear and noise problems with these tires. I would keep an eye on the tread wear.

They are okay on unplowed roads. . . about what you would expect. Some people do claim to have some noise and treadwear, but it seems to be like 1 in 8 people. I have the tires as well for about 8000 miles now and love them. No noticeable tread problems and noise is a little more than stock, but can't really hear it over the exhaust :)

I'm sure these won't wear as long as stock but its a different compound. I tend to use tires for handling more than anything else. I do 45 + mph / highway to just about everywhere I go.
They do seem to noticeably lose traction below 20* on salted roads, and go well until you start pushing snow. But wet / dry is amazing. I haven't wanted to do suspension mods since I got these tires.
I'm not sure if I want to spend $1K every 2 years on tires though. Thinking I may grab a set of the BFG's for the next set if I still have the car.

I've had the F/1's for about 20kmi/1.5yrs now. At first they were great in snow and fairly quiet. This winter I had a ton of trouble accelerating. They've also gotten noisy but are wearing ok. I haven't measured the tread depth yet but its definitely less. I don't think I'll have these tires next winter, because I don't think they'd make it. I'll either put snows or different tires altogether. I'm considering Kumho Ecsta LX Platinums. They have the OE W-speed rating for the GXP and have been getting pretty good reviews so far, but I want to see how they wear too.

i have the same tires for about 1.5 yrs, at first amazing wet and dry traction, snow traction was impressive at first, but now, the front tires have worn down allot, but not the rears, the noise at about 35 mph is horrible
snow traction now with worn down tires is no longer impressive, and i need to replace the front tires, but the rear tires look like new, but are very noisy
would i buy again/? no, but i do have to replace front and goodyear wont do anything about it, so iam goin to be out 400 bucks

I too was going to buy these tires until warned not to do so by cherry gxp. I have heard multiple complaints about the wear and how they are noisy. Also that they suck in heavy snow. I was looking at some Falken's too but the reviews on them also complain about premature wear. I'm still on the hunt.
By they way, if you did buy the goodyears recently, go to their website and fill out their $50 mail in rebate form!
