I just read that its concave...the shim i had made was flat. It was round with 1 hole in the center and it did have two notches opposite of eachother. How thick is it? Your best bet is to post a picture or contact spec or whoever you bought it from and ask them.

it has a concave to it to and i do think it goes behind the "slave" if thats what i have to unbolt. it would fit in place with the 2 bolt holes. which way should i put the bend in the shim? so the "cone" is pointing toward the engine???

Im not sure which way to make it face. Like i said i had one made and it was flat. After i installed everything my slave exploded so i think the shim was wrong. I took it to a shop b/c i didnt have time to drop the tranny again and i let them install a new spec 3 clutch so i dont know what the shim looked like or how it went in. Im trying to picture this in my head but im tired and its not going so well. On a side not i have heard that you dont always have to shim spec clutches.

It's a slave cylinder spacer: http://www.gmhightechperformance.com...ion/index.html

Look on page 6 of the article linked above, it shows where this installs.

I don't see a contour in the pictures you sent. Where is the contour?
