Default need new gears for my 12 bolt help

My 4.10 in my strange 12 bolt are just to dam loud. I need a new set but not sure what the specs are. Like on the stock 10 bolt 7.5 carrier for passenger cars. What is it for a 12 bolt? Also can someone recomend a good brand? They need to be strong and some what quiet for a car thats 300 miles a week daily driving and I made about 50 passes this year at the track? Last ? need a good install kit?

Rears a Strange 12 bolt with 4 channel abs & tcs, 33 spline axles and the upgraded posi(auburn ?) I will put another set of 4.10's or maybe even 4.30's in it.
Thanks

make sure you ask strange about the ntn bering retro fit. that makes the rear alot quieter unless you throw almost 600 rwhp to it.

Its all gear noise, the car will be in the 550rwhp range with about 600 ft torque.

the berings will keep the axle from moving around. i can almost promise you that your bering races are out of round from the axle moving.

What bearings the axle bearings or the carrier bearings? If the races are out of round is the housing junk? If it wrecked the housing I will flip the **** out on them theres only 6k miles on this rear and its been loud since the day I installed constant noise but has gotten alot louder since I put et streets on and got my 60ft times down.

mine is the same way. it was the axle berings that cause alot of problem. strange changed over to the ntn style berings that moser uses and that seemed to help alot, but then this weekend i beat on it good and it sounds worse than ever.

also, if you have a crush sleve in there, that messes up the backlash and pinion depth.

mine has 5000 miles and have had it rebuilt 3 times and now going into it a 4th time.

2500 dollar 10 bolt!

everyone i know that has one in a m6 car has these problems. some have had the retro fit done and they are better, but they are only running low 400rwhp so they dont seem to get pushed out of whack again.

mine was stone silent until i ran it this past weekend for the 6 passes that i made.

i know some gear whine is part of it, but this is crazy!

hahahah, how about you throw some magic dust on the floor and do the secret 12 bolt dance. the ****** noise is from the rear! they sell the rear as a whole piece!

Yeah I know they said to do it to see if its the gears or the axle bearings, they didnt denie that the rear was the cause of the noise.

im gonna go out on a limb and say that its all of the above. the races get out of round and cause the axles to move which cause the posi to moved some and then messes up the gears and then metal dust gets in everything which screws everything up that isnt already fukked.

As said many times before,it is all about the setup. My strange was dead silent when I got it with 3.73 gears.(over 79 passes)I then switched in 4.11's and got whine, reset them and whine was less, did it again and the whine was gone.Found out the gear markings are never right to use on setup. Each time I set them wear pattern looked perfect to me.
So as I found out the long way is if they are setup right you will never have noise. If they are off just a little (.002)they will end up screaming.
For the record I just replaced my gears again because of a screwed pinion bearing and I even have whine on accel.I'll live with it since I know backlash is set tight(.006)and I'm sick of taking it apart. This winter the car will get 4.30 or 4.56's anyways.

the guy that set mine up has done many many rears and has all the right tools to set the depth and backlash, and they are quiet till i spray it, then it all goes to hell.
