They are trying to make $20,000 off of an uninformed enthuisist. And they are full of crap because they don't when they are getting the car.

I had to laugh when I saw it. I was looking for images on Google for a 2010 Black SS Camaro and a picture of a sharp looking yellow one with the black strips showed up on page 6 I believe. When I clicked to view it, that ad popped up. Someone with more cash than brains will probably pick it up just to say they have one...

cough! cough!
Sad thing is ... someone will probably see that and "have to have it".
Funny how that car should have an MSRP of just about $40,000

+1 Ads like that are meant to snag the "too rich to care or know better" buyer who wants his SS before everyone else on the block.

With as bad a time as GM has selling cars right now anyone would be out of their mind to buy above sticker. The Camaro will be a hot ticket item to begin with, but other than the ones on order already, there's going to be slow sales to begin with just because of the economy. After the first run of production cars are gone the next runs will probably sit around for a while.

Not 100% true. Some guys are waiting to see the car/the different options to see what they want, so there will be some orders there and some will see them at the dealer and want to get one of their own. I agree that they will slow down, but I don't think they will just be sitting on the lot for a couple years. I could be wrong though.

Jack off dealerships. Good thing they are used car dealership.....

If dealerships were smart they would try to stick as close to MSRP as possible. Chevy needs this car to be a hit. Price gouging customers that have been waiting for this car for years isn't smart for business.

Thanks, that's what I figured. I never get bent out of shape when dealerships try to ask over MSRP. Dealerships are a business, of course they are going to try to turn as much of a profit as they can on a brand new platform. In the end it's a buyers market though, there will be plenty of Camaros produced so they will easily be found for MSRP.

the dealerships will ask well above MSRP at first. Just like they did on the Z06. It took me 18 months to find a Z at sticker, and when I did I bought it. I just bought an S5 that they were again asking 10k over sticker, IN THIS ECONOMY!! I talked them down to 2k below sticker, but they will sure try to get over if they can. It's simple they are running a business and wanna make as much as possible. If people don't try and argue/deal with them they will either sell it for over MSRP or lose the sale. I'm debating buying one when they come out, but I won't be the first one on the block to buy one. Guess time will just tell. They do look mean, but not sure I need a Z, S5 and a camaro, maybe the S5 will go

i believe the a dealer can purchase the car and it still not be titled and be considered a new car so the warranty would not start till a private owner purchased the car. not 100% sure but ..............
