Default 3500 stall+cam=400rwhp???

Just wondering if there are stalled cam only guys out there with a 3500 or maybe a 3600 torque converter making over 400rwhp n/a??? I'm asking because I wanted a big cam but they usually need a 4000 stall which seems a bit harsh to be daily driven. Anybody with words of wisdom???

I daily drive a 3000 stall 400rwhp setup, although not an LS1. I just installed a Vig3800 (really acts like a 4200) in a Long Tubed WS6, it is not that bad really. If you want a ride in it, let me know, he is in Van Nuys.

The best suggestion your going get is to ride in the setups you are interested, regarding converters. Many will tell you that a 5000 stall drives like stock or a 3000 stall is too tight for a certain setup. Those are all opinions and we know that old saying about opinions.

Thanks. That just proves you don't always need a big cam to get the job done.

numbers in my sig through 3200 stall running stock gears and stock rear end. Dyno numbers are funny one dyno you put out high *** numbers others you put out lower numbers. The other local dyno will have me well over 400 easy. The one I got my numbers of off (Fresno performance) is suppose to be real stingy. I guess It does not help I have a flowmaster according to everyone those things hold you back alot but my car runs hard and stong.
