^^^^What they said^^^^. Though Jasper does a good job of rebuilding drivetrain componets to factory specs, and they do some peformance stuff as well. I would def. check out one of the sponsors. I think PerformaBuilt is running a pretty good deal right now and I doubt the Jasper will be much cheaper if any.

I would stay away from Jasper, and call one of the sponsors, I have a Performabuilt Lvl 2 and their customer service is first rate. I have also read great stuff about FLT and Circle-D. I would call all three and then make your choice. Just my opinion

AFA Jasper, they are located in Jasper, IN. They have a decent rep for stock rebuilt engines and trannys. They have been doing it for quite a while.
Having said that, I would go for a sponsor's tranny in a heartbeat over a Jasper, and just do the install yourself.

+1 for performabuilt. Been running their level 1 for a year and put 11,000 miles on the tranny. Still shifts like it did when i first installed it. I personally dont think you can go wrong with FLT or any of the other sponsors but i have no experience with them.

I haven't heard anything bad about Jasper but they do seem more expensive.

i would ck and see if they require a core-the shop down the street just replaced a 4l80e, late model one, and i was going to buy the core, untill Jasper wanted $1000 for it-prob they overpriced it because they wanted it back pretty bad

That is a valid point, forcd ind. Core charge is an important factor, and one of our sponsors has none, in fact, will pay you for your core. Certainly something to consider.

Jasper does decent stock stuff.

Spend your money elsewhere. Go with FLT or Performabuilt. Can't go wrong with either of those two.

Been a Jasper dealer for years. No real problems with parts or warranty. They definately want their cores back! Not terribly performance oriented. These sponsors here can custom build a trans for your needs and definately will give you any help you need long the way. Believe me, you pay for the warranty. I would put the extra money into better parts. Just an opinion.
PS, if you install it yourself, they may not warranty for the 3-100,000 as you are not a "Qualified Dealer".
