I've tried looking and can't find anyone that says anything but I'm deff getting my 02 ta tinted 5% back and sides and was wondering what the rest of you do about your t-tops? I'd like them all to match so i was thinking adding 15% to make the t-tops 5% also but i'm not sure. any pics showing tinted cars with stock t-tops vs. tinted t-tops would be awsome. If this has been asked and i just couldn't find it please post link. Thanks. whenever i get around to doing mine i will be sure to post the pics.

I think the searches were sweeped out a while ago, all of the sudden a lot was gone.
But anyway, i don't have any pics but I can tell you that this has been done numerous times, a lot of people tint their T-Tops more. However there is controversy over whether it keeps the inside of the car cooler, or whether the sunlight is drawn to the "black" tint and makes the car hotter.

i dont car about the temp, its a black car with black leather so either way is HOT! lol im leaning towards the t-tops 5% too. torchd did you just add another 15% to yours to make it 5% or how were yours done?

so you just through 5% over the tint that was already on the t tops? and i was thinking about getting the windshield 35%(i live in jersey of course only my back window and t tops are LEGAL but who cares?) but i've read alot about when it rains you can't see sh*t and when it comes time to buy a new sticker it would get destroyed removing the old one so i'm just not gonna bother.

GAYYYY!! i drive my ta ALOT lol. and i like looking out of the tops. btw your car is sexy and i HATE red cars but id deff have yours(I've had 4 red cars so far lol)

'Cause if you can still see out, you still have that open feeling. Have you ever put T-Top shades on yours? The whole "free" feeling is gone when you put shades on.

My uncle did it when he had a 300zx as for me I usually only drive it when I can take the t-tops off, when I have them on I just use my factory t-top covers, no one else uses their covers? And 5% on the back is great but on the side it will be hard too see anything I have it on my DD and wont to go 20% on the side but its too cold outside to do it. I also put a 5% strip across the top of the windshield.

on my ext z71 i have 15% on the windsheild and 5% over 15% over everything else....

i wasnt really worried about anything with the ttops i just wanted them to match the 5 and i wasnt sure how off the 15 would be thats all im probably going to do them all.

who cares if you can see out or not. there is not a whole lot to see at night. What are you going to be drving then trying to find the big dipper while driving??????
