Default Fti converters

I am putting in a 3800 FTI converter soon and was wondering how they are doing in other peoples cars. Doesn't matter if you are a gto, f body whater just want to get some insight on the results you guys are having with these converters. I hope to hit 9's soon. Thanks for any info.

My street car has gone a 1.29 60ft foot braking with a FTI converter, It has also ran 128mph in the 1/8 so i would have to say its doing its job and no other brand will ever go in my car's

Thats what I like to hear lol. I am sure my car will pick up nicely going to the 3800 FTI compared to the 2800 protorque. The protorque worked good just not the right converter for my current setup. I will be foot brakeing as well since no trans brake.

I just recently decided to go with a FTI converter for my 4L80e swap over the other companies. Greg spend ALOT of time with me on the phone on multiple occasions (one of which he stopped building a trans so he could answer my questions...for 30mins nonetheless).
He shipped it out on the day he promised too....which hasn't always been the case for stuff I have purchased
After I put it in, I had a vibration issue...which Greg was very eager to check the converter out for me. So I sent it back, he pulled it completely apart, rebalanced it, checked the runout and shipped it out all in the same day. I got it back, put it in and still had a vibration issue. Well as it turns out, I'm an idiot, some of you may already be aware of this.
As it turns out, the hardware I was using was a tick too long (did measure thread depth before hand) even though the converter looked/felt as if it was pulling up tight to the flexplate. Anyways after grinding off 1/32" and retorquing them...the car is silky smooth.
So again, sorry Greg for all my pain-in-the-***-ness.
I don't have my meth hooked up so can't beat on the car but so far love the street manners of the converter.
FWIW Greg gave me his cell number so I could call him to complain in the wee hours of the morning How's that for customer service

Just finished installing my FTI 4200. Now if only the snow and ice would go away I could test it out Just backing in and out of the garage it feels mush tighter than the old 4600 I had. Basically feels like stocker at idle -- car moves without giving it throttle. Hoping for some 1.4x 60's.

The performance will be there. Just this weekend 2 races were won at the IHRA sportsnationals with FTI converters.

I can't even imagine what a 1.29 60ft would feel like. I cut a 1.5X with my 6 speed and just that felt like it gave me whip lash, lol. I guess I better brace myself for when I get an FTI converter for the th400.
