Default ARH question

I can get a new set of ARH for a 99 LS1 with emissions stuff only problem is i have a 2000 WS6. I dont want to delete my egr and air cause i need to pass emissions. I've been told that the only difference is the location of the egr plug(farther back on the 99's). Is it possible to weld the existing hole and just drill a new one in the right spot? I can get the whole kit, headers, catted y-pipes and all hardware for cheap and the thing is brand new...any suggestions?

I don't think that the 2000 had an EGR. The AIR hookups are different between those two model years. The only way those would work on your car is if:

1. You eliminate the EGR.
2. You get the metal tubes at the end of the AIR lines from someone that has a 2000.

I wouldn't mess around with welding the hole and drilling a new one.

2001 is when they got rid of egr.^

if your good at fabricating you can just make an extension and buy 1 extra egr gasket, havent seen how far of a diff the 99 is from the 2000 though. or maybe getting an egr tube of a 99.
