Default oil consumption

okey....i have a 99 ta with 24,000 on it....ive gone almost 6000 miles on my oil change (synthetic) and today my low oil light came on...i pulled right over and checked it...i had to pour 1.5 quarts in to bring it back up to the full mark....the car is bone dry, not a leak can be found....wth is going on?

how was it bone dry if you only had to pour in 1.5 quarts? our cars have capacity of 5.5 quarts. also our cars tend to burn at least a quart which is normal

the car is bone dry, i meant no leaks, the engine is clean sorry

ls1's love oil especially under hard acceleration, a catch can and a ls6 vally cover are good investments

my car actually swallows about 1 qt every 1500 miles. So about 2 qts rather than 1.5 every 3k. Runs like a champ with no leaks.

our cars burn up alot of oil also due to the stock PCV system with oil getting sucked into the intake

Yeah, it's funny, my 83k mile LS1 burns more oil than my 141k 4.0 I6 '97 Jeep.
