With forced induction, like without, I think people often make the mistake of going with cams that are too big. I think cams for F/I should have low overlap and at least 10° more exhaust duration than intake. For the record, Lingenfelter uses or used the GT-7 cam for their 427TT builds. The specs of that cam are not what you would think for such a large motor. 208/230 .554"/.546" 121° LSA

Not sure how it works in the lsx world but majority of the turbo grinds i've seen for small blocks are single patterns or have small degree split, 4-6 degrees max. some are reverse split if dealing with log manifolds or such. With tubular you dont usually have a reverse split, its mainly a split pattern. LSA is generally 112-115 depending. Lsx cams i've seen typically run 112-114 as is for n/a so abit wider wouldnt hurt for forced induction. You dont really need or want a bunch of overlap unless your trying to turn some rpm, then you will have to sacrifice some low end performance *bleed off boost* for some higher rpm gains

I am currently building a 383 LT4, Yes agreed that turbo motors do not need a lot of camshaft, BUT it all depends what you want, low duration cams like a 218/218 will give you redlight to redlight response but will peak very early in the RPM band, when I was supercharged my cam was 236/244 on a 112, I am now going with a custom grind. Remember LT1's and LS1's are different beast, A large cam in an LS1 will be tame in a LT1. Give Kenny Dutwieller a call, he has been building Turbo cars for the last 30+ years..
