Default low oil light

This has been on through about 3 oil changes now and it wont come off. I heard it may have something to do with the oil pressure sending unit?? The car is full on oil..

any ideas???

The low oil light is supposed to come on when you're about 2 quarts low. In your case it's probably the sensor or wiring. It screws into the side of the oil pan.

Good question, don't know if it's configured to work like the low coolent sensors were. I'd replace it if it's bad, used to be about $50 at the dealership, but should be cheaper from a local parts store. Take a look at the connector and wiring harness.

my low oil light has been on for a while and i have tried to unplug connectors to make it go away but nothing...comes on goes. i did however unplug my low coolant plug and that light went away. bottom line----my cheap *** needs to buy some sensors.
