Cool!!! but no hotcam. That cam is way to small for even a stock 383. The rest sounds good!!!

That is a pretty cool intake set up and its great that you got the F body specific...That thing was R&D'd to work great with the Lingenfelter 219/219 .560"/.560" cam...Thats the one I'd use with the intake...Its designed to work with the smaller duration higher lift cam that LPE designed...Back in 1996 when most folks were just learning these motors Lingenfelter made 415 rwhp with that intake/cam/heads on a 383 and made a boatload of torque...I think the hot cam is the wrong choice for that manifold, fyi...If I were doing it I'd go with the LPE cam and have them do your heads, too...I think the LT1 prices have dropped at LPE...260-724-2552...

I think its a really cool choice that performs well...Plus its one hell of a conversation piece...

So you are going to have a 383 with shorties and a baby cam

I live in CA too, just pay the extra money to mod it right.

The money isnt the issue.. Its the Smog I want to make sure of...I can go with a CC306 or 503 and sneak with Smog.. After I smog, I will throw LT's back on and retune... But I dont want to tear it down and re cam.. Always, open to idea's

I meant, put a big cam (ie CC306, GM847, etc.), put on LT's, and pay to get the car passed without ever touching it again.

Talk to LE about it he will set you up wit something perfect for your needs. A Lt4 will pass smog on a stock 350, with the 383 you have room to play with and still pass.
