Default Rumor has it....

I've been hearing that most window motors burn out alot for the F-bodies
So someone told me that some people started using a ford motor from a minivan, that works wonders. Does anyone know what year and model it's from. To see if I can to the window mod..

yea ive never heard of that either, your best bet is to do an autotrix passenger window rewire kit and call it a day. The rewire kit does WONDERS for the speed and longevity of the motors, ive placed the kit on 4 fbodies now and it works amazingly everytime.

Thanks for the posts guys!

The kit will work wonders. We also sell an express down kit for the passenger side.

You can find the kit at the ws6store.

Also you can google AutoTrix.

For the window motors commonly burning out yes they do. I bought my WS6 with the drivers window motor burned out and just bought the cheapest replacement motor I could find (like $13 on ebay) and it works fine, on the slower side, but works.

I think im going to have to pick up one of these WS6Store rewire kits, my passengers window is SLOOWWWW

I had a slow passenger window and used the autotrix kit and it was like installing a new motor without all the hassle. As for a driver I purchased a new window and new regulator from the ws6store and that helped that side out. Now both windows go down and up with out any hesitation.

my passenger window is getting baddd. if i roll it down it goes down pretty slow and then will only go back up about 1cm at a time every minute or so. takes like 5 or 10 minutes to close.

is it too late for the kit to be effective?

It is a 50-50 shot. The motor sounds pretty bad off but if you watch or before and after video's you will see that the kit will get you going again if the motor is bad, there is a fine line between too bad and not so bad though.
