Default does the car have to get retuned after head install

i put a cam in a freind and he got it tuned but now he wants to put heads on it does he have to get it retuned when he change the heads because it might mes with the air fuel mixture or he can keep his regular tunning...

He might need medical attetion as well? LOL!

Seriously, to get the most out of the time and money to put the heads on- yes a re-calibration should be in order.

check the place it was tuned, most offer a discount for retune

If it was done right with a correct PE table and a correct calibration of the MAF it will need very little as far as a retune.

With the amount of people I see taking shortucts in the PCM instead...I doubt it was tuned correctly...but more power to anyone who's car IS tuned correctly (like my own...)
