Handling with heater hose mod?

For the guys who have done the heater hose mod has your handling decreased at all? I have heard a bunch of different things. I would love do do this mod but i wont if it decreases handling.

Haven't really noticed a difference and I've been driving around for 2 years with it.

You take the rear shock pad things out, and replace them with heater hose. Its good for lowering the rear a bit without going to a aftermarket spring.
