Default 6.0l iron block build combos/big cube

guys, looking for people who have done 6.0l builds , n/a.
looking to go as big as ci as i can without an overbore.can i do 421? or is 416 a better choice?
also want to do l92 heads, and a large hydro roller cam, will my rockers from my 317 heads work on l92's?
where should i look for loaded heads, rotating assembly etc? please recommend some combos/cams etc.
car is a 72 camaro, front c6 chassis, rear tq arm, 275/35/18 fronts and 335/30/18 rear toyo r888 tires. will be a track day, limited street use car, but will need to drive on the street, all thru a m6
i searched around and found some help but hoping guys who have done it can chime in.
hope to make 625-640 at motor, 530-540 rwhp
thanks alot
jake

For a track car, biggest I would put in would be 4.00 - 4.125. Some will tell you 4.250. I went 4.00 myself.
Your 317 rockers will not work on teh 92's, intake is offset.
I would go 402" (stock bore x 4.00) @ 12:1 so you can run pump gas, L92's, cam in the 25x* @ .050 range and .6xx lift on a 112 LSA, your only option really for intake is teh 76 for FI. If cost is no concern, i would go AFR's 205 or 225 since you have more options on teh intake.

Not sure what he had in mind for machining the block since he didnt want to do an overbore.

Is it possible to put in a 4" stroke crank without having to do any machining to the block or replacing the rods/pistons?

thanks guys please keep it coming.
i wanted to get 410ci or so out of it with no over bore.
but maybe i can achieve my goals with a 402??? goals are 600-625hp with 530-540 rwhp
heres some stuff i think i will use
l92 cnc ported heads, get new offset rockers for intake.
have had good luck with scat cranks/rods on bbc stuff i have done.
i guess the biggest thing is what combos will achieve the ci i was wanting, then i want to use the l92 cnc ported heads from scroggin or mast motorsports, with a 90mm tb, 42 lb or bigger injectors.
on the cam i want something with some lope, and make power between 2800-7k
i am open to an overbore. so what possible ci wise?

guys, i will overbore, but do not want to go to far on the block. what can an 05 6.0l iron block be bored to?
is there oil consumptions issues after use with a 4.100 stroke crank in these motors?
i want the most cubes/ but trying to stay within a budget per say.
heres what i know.
90mm tb (already have)
L92 cnc ported heads (mast or sdpc)
ported ls7 intake, nasty fuel rails, 60 lb mototron injectors(getting with intake)
need help on ci and cam specs, want 600-625 hp n/a and 530-550 rwhp
want it to take alittle nx too, maybe 200 shot max

Question LS7 Intake

If I remember correctly, the LS7 intake has LS7 ports and the L92's have ls3 type ports?
+ the bolt holes are in a different place

Build the 408. 4.03" bore and 4" stroke. The huge intake valve on the L92 head will really like the .03" overbore.

The aluminum is what you are thinking.

Iron can go .060 (like mine) but it is in your best interests to have it sonic tested if you decide to go more than .030

No. You put in a different stroke crank you have a few options:

1)Replace pistons AND rods

2)Keep stock rods, but you HAVE to change pistons to fit the stroked crank and the rod length

However, I see NO point in keeping stock rods if you are gonna put in a forged crank, even though it can be done. But, again, you are gonna need custom pistons. So, if you change teh crank, you are gonna have to change at least the pistons, so you might as well change the rods as well while you are there.
