M6 shift boot bezel
Does anyone know where I can get the shift boot bezel?
I went to the stealership yesterday to find out that GM no longer sells that plastic piece that holds the leather boot to the console.
so I contacted redline to order there wire version of the item, they E-mailed me stating the person in charge of the bracket is out sick & they have no ETA of when the bracket will come available again.......
does anyone else produce this item? or a way to fix it? I started to make one with a coathanger but my results were crap.
any suggestions?

Wow. Funny this whole thread so far ^ was just yesterday. I remembered a long time ago a member on here was making them, and now I need one. Naturally, I used LS1tech's outstanding search function and found this thread. Looks like our Farmer has a good bit of business.
Edit-
Nevermind. All the threads I've read said $18 shipped, but when I PM'd him he said $23.86. Anyway, it turns out now I need the boot as well as the bezel, so I think I'm just going to order the whole assembly from GM.

CavPat good luck with the dealership I was told GM stopped making that part.....well the guy at the counter said its not available to order anymore thats what started this thread but I talked to Farmer2 great guy to deal with, I think he even shiped the ring out the same day I ordered it and since its metal no worries for it to break again like the plastic OE garbage

yeah those threads where he said 18 shipped are pretty old. I bought one last month, and I was trying to install it today, but my damn **** won't come off.
Someone said to use a hairdryer on it, to warm it up, but I don't have a garage available right now, I don't want to take an extension cord out to the street.
farmer2 is your guy.
