00 Z28 Vs. 95 Z28 Vs. Bullitt Alright, 2 separate races, both are friends of mine.
The 95 Z28 has LE2 Heads, 224/230 107LSA, 3200 stall, ported intake, CAI, BBK TB, LTs, ORY, Catback, suspension
Mustang Bullitt has just a catback (manual).
My 00 Z28: (A4) lid, ported TB, LS6 intake, LTs, ORY, Borlamouth, suspension
95 Z28: So we are about to head out and test his new setup against my bolt on car to see how he we match up. The first race is from a dig, and he revs up and unleashes the TC. He quickly dumps 3 cars on me by about 50, and it stays there to around 80. We tried the same race again and it was the same result with him putting a quick 2.5 cars on me then sitting there up to 70.
The result of that race was pretty much expected considering his setup. So Im like alright, lets see what happens from a roll. from a 60 roll we line up, honk, then the punch. We are dead even up to 80, then all of a sudden I creep a car on him up to 100. I was kind of surprised at it. We tried it again from a 70, and at the punch I pull a 1/2 car then begin to creep another car length by 90.
Mustang Bullitt: Not a fair race at all, but he has a manual so roll racing gives him a jump. We roll from 70, and at the hit we are dead even up to 80 ish then I quickly pull 3 car lengths and shut down at 100
It was an interesting day...

so you were dead even for the first 10mph and the pulled 3 cars in 20mph? did you spray the juice and just forget to leave that off your list of mods? cause 3 cars in 20mph is alot man.
and why would you start at 70 just to end at 100. . . 30mph race?
and for the record i hate mustangs. . . but 3 cars in 20mph is unreal.

so you were dead even for the first 10mph and the pulled 3 cars in 20mph? did you spray the juice and just forget to leave that off your list of mods? cause 3 cars in 20mph is alot man.
and why would you start at 70 just to end at 100. . . 30mph race?
and for the record i hate mustangs. . . but 3 cars in 20mph is unreal.

The bullitt is a manual, and I am A4, so there is a little lag before I drop down a gear and take off. So I may in fact be going faster than him, but it looks dead even because he takes off quicker, then I have to play a little catch up. 30 mph race because we were running out of road with cars infront.

I can see you pulling if he was a stock/ish 01 bullit and you a bolt on LS...and the MPH's being a tad off...not everyone is exact in their race stories with MPH's or car lengths. Just depends. Personally...I do think it was an 01 and the mph was a tad off on your recollection, but..he lost. oh well. LOL

**** if i coulda caught any sort of traction before i could have easily seen a high 12, being i was running a 13.3 with a 2.1 60'
so hoping i can get my 60's down and see some mid 12's now with the new tranny and stall.

Yes it's an 01. that's the only year the bullit was made in that body style.
Basically, a gt with better intake, TB, catback, suspension. They were rated at 270/320 I believe. I'd ahve to dble chk the TQ rating.
3.27 gears with a 3650 tranny.
