Default whos running a 4k plus stall on stock 4l60e

how many of you guys are running a 4k plus stall and otherwise stock 4l60e with the exception of a deep pan and cooler? I'm debating getting one but I don't want to blow her up.

I had a used Yank SS4000 and it went south at the track. Went with a yank PE3600 and haven't had a problem running 9's.

PT4000 in my stock 4l60e other than the transcooler. The only thing with my tranny is that I'm hitting the rev limiter from 2nd to 3rd but that's just cause my tranny needs a high performance rebuild.

PT4000 with Trans-go and cooler. About 80% of torque management removed too.

you do not have to have it tuned.. but it will def help, like keeping you from hitting limiter, and some of the crappier brands, such as TCI fuddle etc. wont lock up half the time if you dont get a tune..

i ran a 4k fuddle converter on my stock 4l60e trans. car was BONE STOCK had 42k on it when i started modding. it had a deep pan, trans cooler, and the "full-race high stall" transgo shift kit (i do not recommend the full-race setup, it shifted hard as ****). i put 20k miles on it with countless 1/4 mile passes; sold the car, and now the new owner is doing the same. i believe the trans is going on 60k with that setup (100k total on car). i believe he daily drives the car, where i did not. car went 12.2s @ 110 with bolt-ons fyi. numerous bottom 1.6x 60'.

i think those transmissions will take more abuse than people give them credit for. i ran the **** out of mine, but the first mods i did do it was the pan, cooler, and shift kit. the converter/tune came last of the trans mods. i am using a th350 with my current build, as i have no use for overdrive.
