Just wondering which will take more abuse

I've seen both break at the track ....I've seen 10 bolts go into the 10's for a while with an auto trans ,M6's will break both much quicker

i would think a vettes IRS is weaker having to deal with the shafts

I think just the opposite with the small pinion shaft thickness and the tendency to shear off teeth of the ring due to it being thin in the 10 bolt.

You can get a DTE brace for the 'vette IRS that will make it strong as hell. I have a friend running 9s in his '02 Z06. The 10 bolts don't have any strengthening options such as a brace and the torque arm really transfers a ton of stress to the 10 bolt housing/gears/carrier/etc.
