what gears to go with in my 99 ss m6 150k I want to put gears in my car. like most i am looking to do it as cheepy as possible but want to make sure i do it all right. new bearing etc etc. should i go with 4.10s? if so what kind? a local shop here in baton rouge said they would do it but ofr round 1100. this seems pricy seeing how most gears cost 200 to 250ish. should i put them in myself and if so can any one give me help on how to.......

Yeah 4.10's are the better choice of gear for the M6 and whomever quoted you $1100 is on crack....$250-$400 max would be the going rate for a setup of gears. Find a different shop.
