i am freshining up my bottom end with new bearing and hone and new rings. Can anyone recommend rings and where to get them. I went to advanced auto today and they told me they where 145 so i figured id ask here for any better deals.

the rings are metric in thickness thats why there more then the standard 350 rings. and the bearings are the same as all the 1-pc rear main seal cranks for the mains and the rods are all the same i think. its been awhile.

X3 for hell fire, i have after market pistons but i also paid about $145 if i remember correctly. i don't think that the LT1 rings are more expensive.
Just remember that the Hell Fire rings are file fit just keep that in mind.

I would go total seal rings, unless you plan to spray it, then call summit and get some good plasma moly rings!!!! To properly do bearing you need to mic all the crank journals and see if they are within spec, if not you will need it turned, whether or not you turn it though, you will need to use plastigauge!
