Default TS 233/239 & AFRs milled -.20

I have the 228R on a 114 with AFR heads milled .-20 off and I used the GM MLS stock gasket. Id like to go a little larger camshaft and im thinking of the TS 233/239 on a 113.

Will it fit and stay within my PTV safety clearance needs. Who as done it and measured.

What would be the proper size push rods. I currently use the 7.40

Tony?

If you shaved off almost a 1/4 inch of material from those AFRs, you are screwed!

I hope you meant to say .020, either way you will need to measure this yourself to ensure it will clear. Anyone on here can say it will be fine, then you install it and damage your heads and engine. Be smart and test it out yourself to be sure.

Notch the pistons just to be safe. I have LS6 milled heads and with my 232/236 I had to flycutt.

The longer the duration, the better the chance you'll have to flycut. Especially, with milled heads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The .020" should only barely put you less p/v than a stock head with the afr 205s. I think you'll be just fine
