Default ipod touch to factory stereo

i have a 2001 trans am i want to hook my new ipod touch to the factory stereo i know there are al kinds of forums but just havent had the time to read them if anyone has a way to point me in the right direction it would be greatly appriciated....i want to know the easiest and neatest way to hook it up directly ....i have a tranmitter and dont really care for it .... thanks guy

30 seconds of searching found 51 pages of iPod related posts. In particular, this thread about the iSimple interface should help. Also, look for threads about the GM9-AUX which isn't iPod specific but will allow connecting any auxiliary input such as an MP3 player, satellite radio, etc. I'll leave the rest of the searching up to you.
