Default Deep dish C6 Z06 quality...

Got some C6 Z06 deep dish wheels. I paid $1040 for them and I noticed some things about the wheels today. One of my wheels has a small bubble in the chrome plating, and all the others have dent looking spots around them... When I tried them on the rear the wheel didn't fit over the hub of my rear axle. I sanded the hub down a little to get it to fit on. Other than the bubble in the chrome, I guess I can deal with the odd dents in the others. I'm going to call the company I ordered them from and see if they can do anything for the one with the bubble. I don't want the chrome to flake off down the road. Anyone else get these wheels and notice anything like this? They look damn good on my car, but for the price I paid for them I thought they would be a bit better quality...

Man that's too much money to have the rims not in mint condition. Call them hopefully they help you out.

I got them from Corvette Garage. The part that sucks is I didn't notice these flaws until I was cleaning them after I mounted the tires on them....

Mine were cheaper than that, and I got 2 18x10.5.

It does not touch any of the wheel well, but it is very close. I have not done any BFH, but after I do that It should be fine, I would think. A 1/4" spacer would make is easier to mount, but I really do not want to change out longer studs.

Also, it is hard to get these over the bumpstop, and I do not know if it is a good thing to have the wheel over the bump stop? It seems like if the suspension extended to full height it might hit the top of the wheel.

As far as quality... I have not noticed any blemishes or bubbles. They look as I would expect new chrome wheels. Sorry to hear yours have bubbles in them. Are they big bubbles, or little bubbles? Maybe post some pics.

sorry dude, but you paid waaaayyyy too much for those wheels. the manufacturer sells those on ebay for a shipped price that would make you absolutely sick.

Link to ebay wheels? There is only one bubble on one wheel. The rest look mis-shapen.

The bubble, I'll try to get some pics of the dents later:

I'll post pics of them on the car after I find out what I'm gonna do with them.

That is odd... Maybe you got a bad batch? I have not noticed that on any of my wheels yet. I might look them over later tonight just to make sure.

SR71: I have not seen any ebay auctions for these wheels besides what corvettegarage has posted. I have seen the deep Y2ks sell for much cheaper, but not this style.

these people sell the deep y2k's also. since i can't post a non sponsor link.....the seller says "we are the manufacturer". they are from florida. they do not have an auction up for these wheels yet. but I called and asked about the chrome c6 zo6 style wheels with the lips. they said they have them with and without the rivets. you have to tell them that you came to them off of ebay. the price was MUCH lower.

Thats odd that a place in Florida says they manufacture them, because my wheels say made in china. Just PM me the link of whatever you're talking about since you cant post it. Maybe I can return these wheels and get these cheaper ones you're talking about.

OE wheels llc makes those wheels. They sell them for super cheap. anywhere from 500-700 depending on rivets and finish of the wheels..

they have the wheels produced over seas, and shipped to the states.

im trying to get ahold of the black ones with no rivets but cant find anybody with them in stock

he just said it....tell them that you got there number from the ebay ad.

as for oe's quality vs the others, they are THE only source for these wheels. everyone else buys from them....period.
